Korra is a bubbly, high-drive dog with a huge heart for anything she puts her mind to. She has very high toy and food drive, a really nice nose on her, and medium-high prey drive. Cute as a dang button, one of my favorite traits about her is her sense of humor in everyday life.
She’s not a dog who is handler sensitive to corrections, and she responds well to clear corrections and no reward markers while staying mentally present in the work. At the same time, she is highly perceptive of subtle handler cues and emotions, showing strong awareness and adaptability. Naturally an independent thinker and worker, once we figured out our flow and relationship, she brought a strong willingness to be right when given clear structure.
In protection, she carries her aggression well. And she’s going to tell you all about it. She’s a fast twitch dog who’s also gritty and resilient in the work. While she still carries her prey well, she carries a higher amount of her aggression than she does a balance of aggression to prey - so my breeding goal is to breed to a dog who is higher in prey, and is more consistent in genetic strike to the sleeve.
Outside of work, she is easy to live with. She’s quiet in the car, clean in the crate, has never been destructive, and is not a nuisance barker. She is a dog who is ready to spring into action - and I love this about her. However, it did require teaching her an off-switch. Socially, she is appropriately aloof with strangers but deeply affectionate to those she knows.
Korra is driven, full of personality, loves being involved in anything that is happening, and brings both a serious side when needed but also a sense of humor to everything she does.
